Manfaat Sayur Kale Untuk Kesehatan (The benefits of kale for health)

Kale (Brassica oleracea acephala) is the queen of super healthy vegetables. Kale is one of the healthiest and most nutritious plant foods available. Kale is included in the cruciferous group, which is a type of vegetable with green or bluish purple leaves (depending on the cultivar).

The benefits of kale :
1. Eating kale can improve digestion
    Eating kale in any way can improve digestion as well as cleanse the intestines because kale is a green vegetable that is alkaline.
   
2. Helps lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease
    Kale contains sequestrant bile acids, which can lower cholesterol levels. This has the potential to lead to a reduced risk of heart disease over time.

3. Maintain eye health
    Kale is actually the highest natural source of lutein, which is found in nature. Lutein, along with other carotenoid antioxidants, plays an important role in maintaining eye health, including preventing age-related macular degeneration, development of cataracts and vision damage.
   
4. Helps in weight loss
    Kale is a very filling low calorie food, which is suitable for consumption on a calorie diet, kale can really help you. Kale allows to be eaten in large quantities, but without thinking about the heavy calorie load, plus the fiber content helps increase satiety from food.

5. Kale has many cancer-fighting properties.  
    Kale also contains indole-3-carbinol, another substance believed to help prevent cancer. Research has shown that cruciferous vegetables (including kale) can significantly lower the risk of developing some cancers.

6. Kale maintains healthy bones
    Kale contains calcium which is very good, helps improve bone health and ward off osteoporosis. One bunch of kale provides close to 10% of the AKG, which can be quite meaningful especially if you don't consume dairy products.

7. Kale can maintain brain development
    One of the vitamins in kale is folate, a B vitamin which is very good for maintaining brain development. Folate is highly recommended for pregnant women to maintain the health of the baby's brain during childbirth later.
