Benefits of lavender
*Lavender is a type of flower that originated in France and has existed since ancient Roman times. The scientific name of this flower is Lavandula spica, has a long stem with small purple flowers attached to the stalk.
* Has a lot of substances
Lavender is usually used as a fragrance or perfume because of its distinctive fragrance. That is why the Romans at that time called the name lavender lavare which means refreshing.
There are many substances contained in lavender flowers. Such as nerol, lavandulol, geraniol, limonene, camphene, ocimene allocation, linalool acetate, and hydrocarbon monoterpene. Because of its large content, fresh or dry lavender flowers, both can be used.
Fresh lavender flowers are of good quality. This can be extracted so that the essential oil (volatile) in it can be taken. This essential oil can be used as a traditional medicine for itchy skin.
Meanwhile, dried flowers can be processed into aromatherapy, gel, infusion, hand body lotion, or even as a mixture of herbal teas.
Of all the ingredients that lavender has, linalool acetate is the most important. Because of this content, lavender is widely used to relax the body's muscles.
