Antioxidants, such as beta carotene, in noni fruit also help in increasing the immune system's ability to fight disease.

In the group of heavy smokers who suffer from chronic infectious or inflammatory diseases, consumption of noni juice can reduce the symptoms of the disease. But this does not mean that consumption of noni fruit can automatically overcome the impact of smoking on health. Smoking is still bad for your body.

Like other fruits in general, noni is relatively safe for consumption as food or supplements. However, it does not mean that it is free from side effects, especially those that have been processed into extracts and mixed with other medicinal ingredients.

  1. Pregnant and lactating
    Mengkudu believed to be bad for the fetus. Avoid this fruit if you are pregnant. Although there is no research to prove it, it is better to avoid consuming noni if you are breastfeeding.

  2. Having kidney disease
    The content of potassium in the noni fruit is feared to worsen the condition of someone who has a disorder. If you have kidney disease, you should not consume noni fruit.

  3. Have liver disorders.

Medicines and supplements contain chemicals that are processed by the liver. Therefore, taking drugs containing noni regularly out of necessity can cause liver problems.
